Here's a look at the five most noteworth new movie releases in Feburary.
In this retelling of the famous play, the lovers are animated plastic garden gnomes and there are adventures in people's yards. Yes, it is completely ridiculous. It also looks hilarious. This is sure to be a hit with families as "Gnomeo & Juliet" will entertain both kids and their parents. The cast includes James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Maggie Smith, and Michael Caine.
"The Eagle" is a historical action movie set in the time of the Roman Empire. A Roman young man, along with his slave, go on a quest to find his missing father. On their journey, their relationship will become a matter of life and death, the history will slowly be discovered, and roles will be reversed in ways they could never have anticipated.
Dr. Harris (Neeson) is in a car accident and then in a coma for four days. When he wakes up, he discovers that his entire life has been filled by someone else. No one--including his wife--seems to recognize him. He searches for the truth and validation of his identity and memories, but it quickly becomes apparent that he is in danger. Is Harris crazy, or is this part of an elaborate conspiracy?
Deep sea divers discover more than they bargained for on a dive that will change them all forever. Expect B-grade disaster movie fun with plenty of melodrama.
"Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" has Agent Turner once again under cover and dressed as Big Momma. This time, though, his teenage stepson is involved in the action and--predictably--also unconvincingly dressed as a girl.
