Black Friday is a huge event that takes place once a year.
Gathering the ads in your newspaper is an important tip to Black Friday shopping. Look through all the ads and create a list of things to buy for the day of your shopping trip.
To guarantee that the store won't be sold out of the item you want, it is important to stand in line early. Some shoppers get to their destination 2-12 hours before the store opens. Often times retailers may give away something for free to the first few in line.
Some retails stores open as early as 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night. Other stores don't open up until 5 a.m. On Friday morning, and others open up somewhere in between. Chances are you will be up late shopping. The lines itself on Black Friday are extremely log.
Even though deals may be too good to pass up you probably don't want to spend more than you have on Black Friday. Bringing cash to the stores instead of using your credit card is a great idea.
Although there are great prices in stores on Friday, there are also great deals online the next Monday. This is called cyber Monday. Waiting till Monday may have saved you more money then you imagined.
I would use your tips, but I never shop on this day.
Great list.

Taking cash so you don't overspend is a great idea, I suggest keeping it in a front pocket.
