I get it. Glitches happen and sometimes service is lost. But why oh why does it have to seem to always happen just when I'm about to win round three of Shootout on Zynga Poker? It's almost like the admin of Zynga just don't want anyone to win their prize pool.
I'm not just talking about those amateurs who only know the weak poker strategy of going all in before the flop is laid. They tend to disappear soon enough as it is. It's those annoying pests who keep buying and sending those little "gifts" in order to be a distraction.
Every day, I see at least fifteen new "game requests," yet Zynga Poker players are limited to only accepting a few per day. In the bigger picture, it all adds up to a hill of beans, really. But it's just one more annoying thing on Facebook to delete. At the very least, couldn't Zynga make these things expire and disappear, if they're not accepted?
Zynga Poker players just can't go to the lobby without having to close out two or three pop-up windows trying to get them to either invite more people to play, send more of the previously referenced annoying gifts, or some other marketing hooey. Sometimes, we just want to play a game of poker. Zynga is trying so hard to over-sell themselves that I may just drop them, altogether.
If you want to surf Facebook on a secure connection (https:, under account security) Zynga Poker games cannot be accessed. Come to think of it, if they insist that I have an unsecure connection to play poker, why am I even bothering with them? I have things to do.
I tried the Texas Hold-em game, but didn't stay long. I am not planning on returning to it.
