For many of us, Saturdays are supposed to be the first day of a weekend, days when we should not have to work. If you are lucky enough to not have to go to work on Saturday morning, what do you do with all your free time? Here are some ideas:
This might be easier said than done, but if you don't set the alarm clock, you might be able to pull this one off. I have an internal alarm that gets me up at 6:00am every day, but at least on Saturdays I can turn over and try to go back to sleep.
If you have small children, you probably already do this, but if you don't you might want to try it. Turn on the TV, lounge on the couch in your PJs and watch the Saturday morning programming. It's a mindless activity that won't take any effort at all.
If the weather is good, try taking your breakfast outside. Sit on the patio and enjoy the fresh air while you drink your morning coffee. The quiet of a spring or summer morning is a nice way to greet the day.
There is no hurry today. You don't need to rush to get dressed, or even to fix breakfast. It's OK to wander around in your bathrobe, relax and enjoy the feeling of time passing by with no worries.
OK, if you have to, it is nice to get started on the yard work early in the morning before it gets hot. Pruning the bushes, mowing the lawn, or watering the garden is actually a nice way to relax as long as you don't rush through it, making a chore instead of a pleasant experience.
You have a great list for a Saturday.thank you. h5
