If you have kids in school and aren't careful, the papers they bring home every day can take over your house. Need help keeping things organized? Here's a few ideas!
If you already have a file cabinet, create a folder section for school papers for each child. Add a folder each year for the current grade and all the important school papers will be within reach and clearly labeled.
Store important school papers in a backpack. To start, use a generic backpack to keep papers in. At the end of the school year, put all the paper's in the child's back pack from that year. You'll be able to easily spot the proper year's papers based on the backpack.
You can't save every single picture your child draws at school or every craft project. So take pictures before you toss them! Then you have a copy to save forever digitally.
Instead of keeping stacks of test results, letters from teachers, report cards and other papers, scan them into the computer. You can burn them onto a CD or save them on your hard drive and keep everything organized in folders by year and child.
Take each child's best work from the year, including tests, worksheets, handwriting samples and crafts and make an annual scrapbook to show off the child's best work.
Great list.
