Don't you love those lazy days of the summer? There are so many things to do and when the weather is nice, you should get outside. Here are some things to do you may want to check out in your city or town!
One of the best things about summer is fresh vegetables straight out of the garden. However, if you do not have a garden, you may miss out. You don't have to! Most cities have a farmer's market where you can buy fresh vegetables that have just been picked.
Flea Markets are a big business in some towns. They are always fun because you never know what kind of merchandise the vendors will have on hand. There is usually a good variety of old and new things, which makes for a fun couple of hours of browsing.
Garage Sales are also popular in the summer and a great time for most to clean out the closets and host a garage sale. Community events are the best, as you can hit several garage sales in one area. Get busy and have one yourself, or enjoy finding something you can use in good condition at a great price from a neighbor!
I love to go to the zoo, especially in the spring and summer. Why? Because that is usually when you will find the most babies. It's fun to watch the little ones grow up! This is a great way to spend a family day out with the kids!
The park is very popular in the summer as the kids are out of school and this is a great place for them to let it all out. Playgrounds attract the younger kids and baseball fields will be packed with summer leagues.
Baseball is a very popular summer sport and most cities will have little league baseball teams or college teams. Catch a game or two and pull for your favorite little league team or college team.
Great list! I just love farmer's markets and garage sales, and my hometown has the best! H5
