Start by choosing a color-coordinated group of papers, ribbons and trim. Not only will you get a designer look, you'll also save a lot of time.
Use the following formulas to see how much you'll need:
The paper's length should equal the length of the box plus twice its depth.
The paper's width should equal twice the width of the box plus twice its depth plus a 3" overlap.
Cut the paper and wrap around the box.
Fold one edge under. Tape seam.
By smoothing paper down to the edge of the box.
With your fingers, make a crease along the inside corners and top folds to accomplish this.
By folding both top folds in to form a pointed flap.
Then fold up flap and tape in place, extending tape a fraction of an inch over the flap.
Turn the box right side up-no tape should show.
Add ribbons, bows and baubles to suit your taste.
A one-touch, invisible tape dispenser makes it a snap to wrap gifts singlehandedly (Just roll the dispenser over a package, lift and twist to cut tape. This is available at most office supply stores, but you can also often find this at some dollar stores-where it'll be much cheaper).
I sure am going to follow your great list of instructions here.thank you.
