Introduction:

Are you finding it difficult to find a computer that matches your budget? A brand new computer with all the bells and whistles might set you back a thousand or more. Actually, there are a few ways to find a free or almost free computer. Check out the list.

Friends

Think about all the friends that you know. Don't be afraid to approach them and ask for an old unused computer that is probably neglected and taking up space in their home. Even if it is an older model it could serve purposes to surf the Internet, basic word processing or read email.

Donated Computers

There are plenty of organizations in communities across the country that repair and donate computers to low income students or senior citizens. If you are in one of those categories you are in luck. Look on the Internet for one of the organizations or ask around your community.

Craigslist

Craigslist is the way to go if you are looking for a free or cheap computer. People list their old electronics and computers on Craigslist. They usually set the items on the sidewalk for pickup by interested parties. Unfortunately, it is first come first serve. So, you have to move quick to get these items. Check the Craigslist for your community for more information.

Ebay

Ebay is the place to go to find a good deal on a computer. Search around the site and place a bid on a selected computer. You might just win.

Refurbished

Some people think that refurbished computers are a bad deal. Refurbished computers were brought back to new condition. The seller usually guarantee's that the computer is in perfect operating condition. Most people on a budget would probably dance for joy with all the savings they get on refurbished computers. Find refurbished computers at Dell, HP, Acer, eBay, Amazon.
