No need to remove, soak or give any special care to the dental implant. It becomes a permanent tooth in your mouth. As you go through the process of acquiring a dental implant, you will not be in any pain. If for some unknown reason you experience any discomfort,your dentist will provide you with pain medicine to take as prescribed.While you are awaiting your new implanted tooth there are devices you can buy to put into the vacancy the implanted tooth will eventually fill.

Limitations

Your dentist will go over any limitations you will have with a dental implant while you are asking your questions about this tooth replacement choice. One question asked will be: "Do you smoke"? This is asked since dental implants, especially the ones needing bone grafting work, do better in a non smoker's mouth. If you have a dry mouth at night you might be asked if that is something you are aware of from a personal standpoint. The remedy to this might be a swab recommended by your dentist who knows dental implanting procedures. It might be resolved by closing your mouth to allow the natural mucous to keep your mouth at a natural state for the best health of the dental implant. One other question could be if you have TMJ or grind your teeth. Most dentists can actually tell you that you do have either of these events going on in your mouth,even at night when you might be unaware of them. These conditions will be discussed with your tooth professional regarding any limitations that might prevent a dental implant.

I concur. The only barrier is the expense. Most insurances won't pay. If one can afford, dental implants are the way to go. HI5
