For those of you who appreciate a quality white, especially on a summer's day...I hope you find a keeper in this list of wonderful whites.
This white wine is sweet and even tempts the unsweet drinker! It has a light sparkle to it, and can dazzle you in a mango sangria. Hints of apricots and peach make this white a happy place to be.
An ol'faithful...this Blue Nun is cherished by many. A wine with some fizz, it makes yor palate very aware of the pleasure in white grapes and their sweet juice!
Not nearly as sweet as the prior wines (above). This riesling is a bit dry, but certainly detectable in its green flavors (pear, melon, grass).
Rieslings are traditionally heritage of Germany; However, Blackstone's do it well! A drier wine, it offers a more sophisticated spin on what others may offer. I enjoy to pair it with a roasted veggie pizza that is based with a white sauce.
This company, 'Maine Mead Works', creates some unique Meads (wine made with honey). Still considered a "white wine", these nectar derived concotions range from blueberry, lavender, semi-sweet, dry hops, to strawberry. Grand to pair chilled with sesame crackers smeared with home made jams, goat cheese, & topped with fresh herbs such as basil. I adore this Maine native wine and its partners (the honey bees)!
Cheers to the white wines and all the sweet brightness they can unleash!
