In the sequel to one of the all time best selling real time strategy games, you can find lots to love. Here are some of the coolest Starcraft 2 features.

More Options

Starcraft 2 features a more adaptable single player real time strategy campaign. Though the core game limits players to just the Terran race, there are just as many missions as there were in the predecessor. What makes the campaign most exciting, however, is the fact that the player has the option of choosing which board, level or map to tackle next. Having more control is fun!

More Roleplaying Elements

It may be a real time strategy game, but Starcraft 2 features a bunch of elements from role playing games (RPGS). As you move through the campaign, you can add new units to your army, upgrade the weapons or soldiers that you value the most and essentially build your forces in the way you see fit. This flexibility lets the computer game come to life.

Make Me a Match

Starcraft 2 features a multiplayer aspect that is improved in many ways. Though there are some negatives to be found in the initial release, there's also a good deal that you may find useful. One of them is matchmaking. It is faster, sleeker and more balanced than ever before.

New Units

Whether you enjoy playing the game as the ancient Protoss, the horde of bugs known as the Zerg or the human like Terran race, Starcraft 2 features quite a few new units. Utilizing these new soldiers lets you form fresh and creative strategies, and balance out armies so that they are suited to beat the style of any opponent.

Return of Great Characters

Starcraft 2 features many of the same characters as the original (and some additional ones, to boot). Returning are fan favorites such as: Zeratul, Arcturus Mengsk, Sarah Kerrigan, Jim Raynor and Artanis. It's fun to see their interactions continue in the wake of the events of the Brood War.




Final Thoughts

Starcraft 2 features more flexibility for the gamer, extra RPG elements, more units, better multiplayer matchmaking, an encore cast and much more.
