The key is to have a plan of things that you will need to make sure that you are ready to go for the big day. Invitations

The first thing that you are going to need is baby shower invitations to invite all of the guests. There are many ways that you can go about getting these. There are packs of these cards sold in just about every discount store that you can use. You can also create your own on the computer with a simple paint program.

Decorations

No party is ready without decorations. You can go with the basic pinks and blues that are traditional. Even including a diaper cake to be the centerpiece of the celebration is a great idea.

Food

A simple menu of appetizers is one of the best ways to setup the food for a baby shower. Finger foods are going to keep the energy going at your party. Many can be made in advance and even purchased already made to make your setup much easier for you. It will also make clean up much easier as you will not have large baking dishes and other items that come with serving a full meal at a baby shower.

Baby Shower Games

One of the most traditional things is to play games at this type of get together. A quick Internet search will give you plenty of ideas of different games that you can get your guests to do. From tasting the baby food to wrapping the pregnant mother as a mummy, you will have tons of fun when you are prepared in advance for this.

Party Favors

Giving your guests a party favor so that they can remember this big day is a great idea. You can give small scented candles in the colors of the party theme. You can also wrap up some candies in cloth and give it to party guests. You can also use these party favors as prizes for the baby shower games that you are going to be holding.
