Online writers more often than not work out of their homes. Oftentimes, their friends and even family do not view what we do as a "real job." Only another online writer can understand that writing is indeed a job like every other job with it's own set of frustrations and accomplishments.
By taking the time to network with other writers you can increase your own skills and knowledge. Other writers often will give you great tips to improve your writing and tell you when one of your pieces are exceptionally well written.
There are times when every writer feels frustrated and finds themselves wondering if writing is really worth all the headaches and aggravation. It is at these time that another writer can give you the moral support your need to continue to follow your dream.
Networking with other writers more often than not leads to the sharing of writing gigs, new content sites, and information of what sites pay well and what ones do not. By networking with other writers you may be able to pick up clients and even find out about full and part time writing gigs.
Networking with other writers makes you feel like you are part of this huge family who share a common love of writing. That feeling is something I have not experienced at too many other jobs and one of the things I love most about networking with other writers.
Networking with other writers doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming. Simply begin by reading other writers work and making comments. Over time you will get to know a lot about them through their writing and become friends.
I've recently begun networking, and can certainly attest it has its benefits. Great list! H5
Networking is good to do, but hard to do especially with a slow dial up internet, it takes time.
Very good suggestions for all online writers to use every single day. Nice work! :)
Great list and wonderful tips. H5
I like networking and getting to know fellow writers. I've even met several in person, which is way, way cool.
