Trust me, you'll use this one on a daily basis... at least. It means "don't do that."
And it works like a charm. Just make sure you're not smiling when you say it (it's a fun one to say).
Simply means "hello," but even the most simple words demonstrate that you're making an effort. Say hi to the parents of your students in Korean, and they'll love you.
You will often hear people say "on-young" as well, but this should never be said to your elders; it's considered very disrespectful.
"Thank you."
Again, it's the small things that count--whenever you leave a restaurant (particularly if you plan to return, as they will undoubtedly remember you), or receive a gift, make sure you throw it in there.
"Soup."
This way, you'll at least be able to order one menu item from any restaurant; order the kimchi jigae (ji-gay). Absolutely delicious, and particularly great during the colder months.
"YES!"
When kids do something well, throw this into the vocabulary and watch them light up. Just don't use it too often, as it might lose its effect.
This is a great list with important words to know! Thanks
